Your comments are dead on. The S8 feels more solid, the quality of the components feels like a car in the 80-100k range. The steering wheel is thicker, the leather on the dash and doors is great, and the fit and finish is just so much better than an A6 class car. I do not understand why Audi only gives the A8 so much attention (and I assume the new R8). It seems like Audi has the ability to build the highest quality fit and finish of any manufacturer but dials it down for all the cars save the A8/S8. Even the ASF is only on the A8 class and the R8. Why not move that tech down to the TT, and the A6. It is so much better in terms of weight and rigidity, it would elevate the A6 class cars to untouchable (compared with the 5 series and E class). Just my two cents, but that is why the S6 does not fit my needs right now. Hoping the RS6 will be so much better.
