Can someone post the Webcast URL so we can monitor the festivities?
Thanks, Jimmy S.

first test drives should be available in EU in the next month or so. in the US do not expect dealer demo cars for a few months. the first view of the car will be in NYC at the new forum sometime next month. first US drives may come in the form of regional appearances for pre-prod cars. this is being discussed but no hard line yet. this is the best that i can do for you regarding this information. i'll keep the board informed as best i can. promise.

I think he meant to post 3150 not 2150.

440 hp sounds great, 4.0 0-60 makes sense considering RS4 can do 4.3 . If the car is doing a 12.0 it is beating the gallardo, so I don't know. I would love to see M6 rivaling performance or numbers close to the 997 GT3 but that would put the car way ahead of the gallardo.

Stupid gallardo is holding back the R8 now...

Audi numbers, 0-62.5 mph (0-100 kmph) @ or below 4.5 seconds. Actual American magazine test numbers, @ 4.0 or below. This is all of course for the 440 hp V8 version.

I'd say 1700kg / 460 / 3.9sec / 11.7

Just a guess by looking at the car, how much is that worth????:hihi: :applause:

Dear Friends,

my "guess" is:

<1.400kg

315KW (428HP)

0-100 km/h (0-62,5 mph) ~4.1 sec

0-200 km/h (0-125 mph) ~12.1 sec

If it did an 11.8 with a v8 and 440 hp I would make love to the cars exhaust pipes. I would even give my first born to audi in exchange for the car.

I just don't see it putting up better numbers than the gallardo which does a 12.3-12.5

I reckon the performance figures for the v8 R8 will be as follow.

0-100Km/h (62.5mph) 4.3-4.5seconds

0-200Km/h (125mh) 13.6-13.9seconds

435hp @ 8150rpm & 330ft/lbs 5750rpm

1465kgs.

These are the figure I reckon that Audi will be quoting. What any on the car tests will achieve, I have no idea.

and the car weighs just less than 3100 lbs. it will be just as fast as the gallardo. the gallardo would pull away in the triple digits but that is it. and that would be no reason to spend 60K more...

Hmmm...it has a bit less power than we've expected, 420 instead of 440, and I think it weights more than 3100lbs(someone said it will be 3100lbs), because it needs 4,6 sec to accelerate 0-100.So it's slower than Gallardo:vgrumpy: but at least, it's much much nicer than it. /I think we will need a R8 addict smile:hihi: /

Wait until the next engine is available..... it'll be quicker yet. Yes it's slower than the Gallardo, but with the additional weight probably because of the creature comforts and the attention to small litle details that Audi obviously has done, it's well worth it I say.

Not like I'll ever have a chance of owning one of these, or the Gallardo!!
