Mine are 10 and 11 wide.
I'd just get a square 275/30/19 if I was you.

EDIT: edited a better fitting size.
Interesting. I'm not tracking the car or anything just driving on weekends, so handling isn't too much of a concern. That being said I think I'll try this staggered setup until I get a set of 9.5s for the front, and then try a 285 square setup.

But now you have me worried... Is a 1.2% difference in diameter really going to cause issues? I've heard within 3-4% of diameter on a Quattro is ok.

Likely won't manifest itself instantly. And manual transmissions are cheap enough.

    Edit:

Disregard. I have 255s on these 8.5 wheels now. Just gonna run the 9.5s in the rear with 255s for the time being.

Not sure that this is helpful, but my Volk GR V2's were 19x9.5 and had a ET29. 19 might be a bit aggressive?

19x9 ET24 on the outside is pretty much equal to 19x9.5 ET29 (actually 1mm deeper into the wheel well).
    19x9 ET19 will stick out 5mm further.

Most of the weight is in the front, so with square setup it's nice and balanced. You put more meat in the rear - it starts to understeer in the utterly disgusting fashion.

Thank you for this information very helpful, it's a tough decision these are my dream HRE wheels for the beast & they are priced very reasonably for HRE's, however I currently run a square setup (OEM RS4) which fit great & square seems to be the preferred SOP for these beasts so I am deliberating if the understeeer is a worthwhile tradeoff for the look of running these staggered HRE's (if they were only a square set up. In any case thank you for educating me further via your helpful post

5mm difference in offset won't be much of a problem IMO (as long as they fit in the wheel well) and as long as you put identical tires on them.

In the original "anti-staggered" post I was advocating against different sized tires front/rear.

Finally got my set up done.

    VMR V701 19x9.5 et33, 275/30/19 tires with 12mm spacers front and back.

Had a slight bit of rubbing up front but I removed the fender liner screw and that seemed to fix it. Ideally I would like to run a 5mm spacer up front, but I had these already on the car.

I would like to be lower than this in the future but for now it works fine.

I suffered catastrophic wheel damage and needed to get replacements quick. I found a very cheap solution with OEM Audi wheels - A5 wheels. 18x8.5, ET29. That's 1mm difference in offset! They won't be the lightest wheels but they're factory OEM and for $98 a piece shipped I think I won on the quality vs price ratio.

Gears turning in my head, and someone mentioning that there is a LOT of space in the rear...how about a staggered setup? Stick with 18x8.5 up front, but go 19x11 in the rear with 295/30 R19 tires? Who knows with real world variations between brands, but theoretical tire calculators show only a very minute difference in rolling circumference and diameter between stock sized 255/40R18, and 295/35R19. If it fits, that'll be pretty cool. I do have to wonder about what effect that would have on handling. Would it worsen understeer?

    Yes, absolutely.
Also 295 might be pushing it. 285 could be a better choice. Either way, try to get a test fit before committing.

I definitely want to do 275, probably not even push it to 285. But 295/30R19 is spot on exactly what a 255/40R18 is. Due to financial constraints foreseen in the 1st and 2nd quarter 2019 and expected tire replacement times, I'm thinking I'm going to have to move to wider 19" wheels two at a time.

OK, so these must be the VMR v702 in Gunmetal, 19". What width and offset is it? Fit looks darn perfect! Getting close to putting these on the Mugello Blue car...
