    Could be. No reason why it could not be used on the R8's 5.2L. Main difference here is MTM is using a single large charge air cooler, whereas on the RS6's 5.0L V10, it uses two separate intercoolers, ala the Porsche 993TT versus the 996/7TT's.

    Itīs def the RS6-engine. With some mods it would produce honest +1000hp. Thing is the gearbox and not the least the cooling.

    The air is collected in one manifold anyway. The reason for two intercoolers is to keep it away from the radiator. FMICs are not very effecient. I remember HGP build a VR6 BiTurbo with a FMIC at a customers request, and the car kept overheating when a magazine tested it on a track.

    It's probably a water cooled intercooler. It wouldn't be painted if it wasn't.
