    Old S3 - 210BHP >225BHP

    Hi guyz,

Still looking around for an old S3 as a runabout. I've seen a facelifted 01 model with 210BHP.

How easy is it to convert this to a 225BHP model...Is it just a re-map on the ECU? Any other differences between the 210BHP and 225BHP engine?

    Cheerz

S3 For sale if you like it

I'm new to the site but after reading you post i thought i would write and ask you if you are still looking for a S3?

I am selling mine, it is a 2001 (225) with full service history and full black leather and the proper alloy wing mirrors, it has had a couple of mods, 50hp chip, Milltec (cat back), full bilstein coil over kit, K&N induction kit, it has had a new windscreen, the tyres have only done about 2000 miles, the wheels have been refurbished and it is in Brooklands racing green it is a lovely motor but i have now got three children and although i work abroad when i come home it is not as much fun as it used to be as we have problems getting us all in.

If you are interested then please email me and i will send you some photo's if you like, just a last note it has had a zymol polish.

    My email is lcdouglas@hotmail.com

    regards Lee

I know that the first (210 PS) had engine code APX and the second (225PS)
BAM with adjustable camshaft timing for better emmisions at low revs.

Hi Dougy72, welcome to the forum.

Your car looks great, but unfortunately the colour green is somewhat unlucky for me on cars! A shame, becasue the car looks to be very well treated.

Secondly, I'm having second thoughts on the S3 now, i've got an urge for a 993.....

    Cheers

    Taz

Mine was a 210HP version and has an AMK engine code.
