I order my RS4 without bucket seats :°°°, but i prefear use it not only see....
In this days i read about a chiptuning for RS4 and discovered "digitaltunig", this team increase the 4,2 V8 at 450cv without speedlimit (298 km/h!!!!). Who of you did it?
I doubt the claims of 450 HP with a chip alone. I don't think Audi left much extra in the engine. Your risk of engine failure will go up exponentially and a chip will VOID, VOID, VOID your warranty. I'm sure the dyno results using the same RS4 before and after chipping are conveniently missing.
If you want additional performance and don't care about the warranty, add a supercharger. Otherwise, a chip alone is a probably waste of time and money. BTW, the claims of measurable HP increases with K&N air filters are also a bunch of crap.

Digitaltuning guarantees 450cv and test it on desk bank! The final speed is 298 km/h on track at price of 690 €.....i think that is ok! The elaboration that you raccomend is very expensive......the cv from air filter are a mirage!
They give 5 years of guarantees! What do u think about this?
Would never modify this car. The engine is so high stung, I think you would just be asking for trouble and a voided warranty.
Still a bunch of crap. So for under $1000 you are getting 35 HP AND a 5 year warranty? Audi only gives you a 4 year warranty. One engine failure and they will be out of business and you will be out of luck.Originally posted by Boston^G

You boys are lucky, in the UK Audi will only give us 3 years. I think we don't shout loud enough. At least they done offer a great maintaince warranty, under £500 per year on my S4 and that includes everything tyres and all. My car's 1 year 9 months old and already I have had 2 full sets of tyres, 3 tail light bulbs, set of wiper blades and 1 service, now that is way over the money I have put out.Originally posted by sparkhill

I'm not interested at +30 cv, but at 298 Km/h!!!! It's fantasic... 0-100 km/h in 4,6 sec.
I am litle sceptical about that 30 hp power increase only with chip, but...

Forget about what your tuner tells you. AUDI (and especilly Audi Italia) will not, I repeat , WILL NOT give you any kind of guarantee.
Moreove the RS4 has a new generation ecu that recors informations, If you mod your car the informations recorded will not match the paramteres that Audi had and guess what? They will void your guarantee.
In other words if your engine fails in 6th gear at 7500 rpm (280 kph) it will be recorded and when you call Audi telling them the engine has blown up they will verify all these infos to later tell you that they will not reapair your car under warranty.
I had a long discussion with the responsible of AUDI Italia as I asked him how I could get audi to test my car for Horsepower. In short his reply was that they will look at a bunch of parameters and if they match the specs released by Audi in germany they will certify the car is fine.
In other words the car can pass all the tests succesfully without being really measured on a dyno therfore Audi can calim even 600Bhp for its RS4 and you will never be able to prove it!!!!
So I would not waste my time looking for powerupgrades as long as the car is new or under warranty.... Especially considering the fact that you have everything to loose is the worst happens (toccati le palle).
To conclude I am looking for an Audi authorised Dyno in Italy or Switzerland. I will test there my car. I will see what the result is. If its goog (within 5-7% of the declared amount) then I will keep on driving happy, else I will tell you what I do after I see how bad the result is!!!

The Dyno has to be approved by Audi or they will not accept the result....
By the way the speed limiter kicks in in 5th gear!

Can you remember were did you read this info?
I heard also that it may be possible... Since BMW is now offering delimiting M Driving package for Z4M Coupe(275km/h in sixth gear) I think it is time for Audi to offer delimiting for RS4(or moving the limiter to 280km/h in sixth gear).
