New High Performance Car from FIAT

I think this thread may stretch the definition of high-performance, but I wanted to include a brief preview of the new FIAT Cinquecento, because it has a "want one" factor of 11/10. It is due next year. Expect it to Debut at Geneva.

It'll be so much more compact and cleverly designed than the Mini. It will also be extremely stylish, because Frank Stephenson, who designed the mini, has done the new 500's interior as well. Inside reports from within FIAT reveal a stunning reception to the production version of the car by management and great excitement.

Unlike the Trepiuno, shown below, the production version will have four conventional seats. FIATs small car engines have always been quite good. It will also sell for less than the Mini.

I think this is the car that will restore FIAT's fortunes. It may not go fast, but it should disappear quickly from dealer forecourts...

Agree with you there! Maybe should be posted in the "Also Ran" thread.
