Thanks for all the pics! Not too crazy about how the fog lights stick out on the front bumper, but other than that minor thing, looks great! Once you clean off all the snow that is.

    Nice rims too.

    heh.. interesting

    EriK and Freerider,
the front plates are only 1 number apart..

Eriks pics : LB VV 143
    Freeriders : LB VV 144

but besides that... ill agree with Benman about the foglights...
take a look at Eriks 3rd pic (more or less profile pic), the fog light with its "aerodyanmics" make the front look like maybe a hyundai or something japanese .. but is still minor and overall looks good :cool2:

To be honest, I hope it will look different when it hits the sales. I just love the 993 Turbo styling (all 993 for that matter) and was really not happy with the styling of the 996. So I was looking forward to the comeback of the "old" headlights on the 997 turbo. But seeing this dissapoints me.

And I think a porsche's bodywork shouldn't be touched (tuning), but I think that Techart made the 997 even more beautifull.

This is how a lot of people feel about the B5 A4/S4/RS4. They love a classic, and when a new one comes along, it just doesn't meet the expectations. Give it time, I think it will grow on you. Kinda like the new Audi honking grills are growing on some!

And if it doesn't, then that is cool too, cause you'll save a lot of money buying an old 993 Turbo versus a new 911TT!

For me the 460bhp are a little bit disappointing.
The old Turbo S also had about 450 bhp.
Only 10 bhp more? I can't believe that.

If those figures are correct (don't know) then that is not too bad. Afterall, that will be for the standard 911TT. The 02' model had a standard 405 I think, so the 450 of the Turbo S was nearly a 50hp hike. If they do the same this time around, that will mean the Turbo S will be pushing 500. Not bad in my book.

I was wrong, just checked Edmunds.com. The 01' TT had 415, so only an increase of 35hp to the S model? Still, 460 and then 35 more makes 495, so not bad.

There will be a performance package availble for the 997 Turbo, like mentioned earlier there is a new form of turbo for this car.

One question i'm curious about is whether Porsche have opted to keep the 3.6 or turn to the 3.8 to power this car.

We'll see, it's approximately six months from the public.

Looks like the latter one is the US-spec 911 Turbo, notcie the small license plate on the tail, and the yellow sidemarkers on the front.
