Styling is, of course, always a personal thing and the RS4 candidate car on Ring pics on the S4/RS4 forum looks partly disguised especially as regards to the true front end and the AMS picture of the new RS4 is photoshopped.

The demands and tastes of people in different markets and age categories are probably different. Moreover, Audi it seems still has difficulties to cope with the other Bavarian spectre and many of its loud loyalists.

Still, I hope that Audi cherishes its cool style/image so well again demonstrated particularly in the RS6 and does not stray too far away from the mainstream taste of the most likely main target group for the new RS4 - i.e. 28-45 Y high-income/wealth males with a family.

Hopefully the AMS pic is closer to the final truth than the front end of the Ring pic - it pretty successfully blends more attitude with grace.

But at the end of the day, it is ability that counts and here we can only hope for the best - although coming up with a new RS4 that really moves the game forward vs. old RS4 as well as current opposition and that dynamically betters or even barely matches the already effectively 2 year old M3 CSL is extremely difficult with the DNA that Audi Sport engineers start out with.
