Pics from Nürburgring 2004. Part 1

A few selected pictures from Nürburgring 2004. There's an RS6 in there so it's RS6 related

    A BMW-owner having a bit of a problem.

Crazy Germans in an old quattro

Is your wife this interested in racing?

    Curbs are always fun!

    An EVO in a hurry!

The same EVO with a bit of a problem with the sound level from the exhaust.

    A Volvo 240 flat-out!

At Sabine's. How does she have time for everything?

Englishmen who got confused with Nürburgring and Gumball...

    A sunroof is always nice.

    Audi RS6 Avant drifting

    A fast Volvo V70

    A nice Merc EVO2

This guy know how to impress a photographer.

At least we had luck with the weather.
    The Nürburg at the horizon.

Rather Nürburgring than a wedding ring.

This is how a Volvo 850 wagon should look like!

Sabine said the 6-series was very fast. She drove this one with some very nice 20" Alpina-wheels.

    A Porsche Carrera RS.

    Z8 is never wrong!

Nissan Z350 coming out of the dark woods.

Flat out over the painted track

    Merc EVO II

    Great pics Erik!!

Do you have more pics of that Merc EVO II,
I really like this car, I have driven it a few
times. Only 502 road going cars have been
produced, I have driven nr 019.

    235 HP from a 2,5 liter 4 cilinder, and a
enormous downforce, 250 km/h with just
one finger on the steering wheel. It was
my first 'high'speed experience. (on the german autobahn of course)

This Volvo looks standard, but has a turbo engine. And the driver is good, really fun to watch! He's not riding the curbs for nothing
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Thanks very much for sharing Erik.

If all goes well I'll be heading out next year for a return trip to the ring! Ahhh, can't wait!

how can you tell by the picture that its a turbo? i cant and i know my volvos... the only thing is that the exhaust looks to be a bit bigger than usual, but i cant be sure by looking at the pictures...

btw, GLT = Grand Luxe Touring (the most luxurious edition of the 240 series...)

    You can't.

So it helps to know the owner.

I think he uses a 945 low pressure turbo.

that's true... the B230FK engine then?

Old volvos never die - they only go faster...
