ACE Competition Top Gear cat-back installation

Some pictures from my ACE Competition Top Gear cat-back installation:

    Pictures in 1600x1200 with thumbnails

    The result:
At first I almost thought that the sound from the new system wasn't as high as I had hoped...compared to the old system. But after driven the car 3-4 hours I'm sure that this is the right level for me.

    The big difference:
At idle and low revs the sound is much (I hope I use the right words) darker..definitly higher.. No doubt that there is a V8 under the bonnet..
At full throttle and higher revs the sound is higher, darker and more powerfull.
At speeds around 70-110 km/h (~45-70 mph) the sound ia almost identical to the original system...maybe just a little bit higher..

    One more thing:
Top Gear has two different system. One less noisy and one higher more resonating. My system is the less noisy..

    Sorry..

I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you all when it comes to soundclips of my system. I do not have any equipment that could record enything near the sound of my car.. Sorry!

Of course I could record it...but it would just sound like... "brroom-broom-brrrroommm" :eye:

It took me right to the candy! Very impressive, looks good, sounds good. Have you totally transformed into a modification-junky now? I guess I shouldn't ask "what's next"... but what's next?

    Next?? What do you mean...??

Hmmm...okej, but now this is getting very personal..
What's next? I quess anything that comes in my way...is the right answer..

    1.
I've told Anders on ACE Competition that if anything that could be used on my car (engine) comes in his way...he should call me right away..

    2.
I've had a discussion with one big tuner in sweden about them using my car as a project car to develop a new chip the S4-engine. But I forgot one tiny thing...my cat-back system. They only develop new chip on cars that are in original condition.

    3.
I have contact with the english tuner AmD about their stage 1-3 for my car. The thing that makes me hesitate is the fact that they don't have any dealer in sweden. The price for their chip: £500

    4.
    ASA Compressorconversion...
Hmmm... Very tempting! Who wouldn't want to have 400-500 hp under the bonnet..?

    5.
    (even more tempting)
Do nothing...and order the new RS4 as soon as it is available..

That on earth would we guys do without cars?

Erik, try the direct link: http://mcburn4ever.reallyrules.com/s4_topgear_01.avi

Hm, I guess you could go those "ways", but as you mentioned, most of them have issues. The compressor conversion seems like a lot of fun though! And the RS4...don't even go there.
Does ACE Comp. have further stages for the S4 or are those "unofficialy stages" if so? And what are the power gaines with AmD:s chip? Does not sound as a lot of money, but yes, without a local shop in Sweden you should probably think twice.

Anyways, good luck with your S4! :s4addict:
