    Powersliding the RS6...

    Or should we say mudsliding?
We had a bit of a boring time before the track at Nürburgring opened.

Remember to give the undercarriage and suspension parts a good going over with the power washer....

A powerwashing might not be good enough. My car had over 8 lbs of dirt trapped within various undercarriage components. There was one part in particular that normally weights in at 5 lbs and mine weighed in at a portly 12 lbs with all the trapped dirt. It also took forever for the tech to clean out the air intakes during the 15K service. All that trapped dirt also degraded power, which I didn't notice. However, once they cleaned everything out, I couldn't believe the difference in pull and throttle response. While it is fun to play in the mud, I don't think I will do it again.

Thanks for that reminder that altho these are AWD vehicles, they are not meant for off-road use. Even Audi's only answer to the SUV, the Allroad, is named for where it's designed to go -- all roads, but not off road.

Still, looks like it was fun!

They might be old, but it's as nice to see them now as the first time back in 2004.

Anyone but me who can hear that V8 growl?
