Thumbs up Pics: Audi RS6 racing on the ice (56k warning)

Somebody asked from where I got my avatar. Here's how...

Like already mentioned in this thread: Audi quattro Driving Experience - Idre, Sweden, 2004, we had a lot of fun!

The day ended with a grand finale, an RS6 with super-studded tires arrived. The intructor Jerry was the driver and took all the participants for a spin around the icy track.

I've uploaded large pics so you can use as wallpaper or just enjoy as they are.

Audi A4 Avant 1.8Ts practicing on the ice. This is a lot of fun!

I included this picture so you get an idea of how slippery the ice is. You can hardly walk here!

I have a video from inside as well. Who's hosting?

It's confussing for the mind to see the RS6 on such narrow tyres! Most important part is that they do the trick.

Thanks for the pictures. Looks and 'sounds' like a blast from both the threads.

I know Porsche does a similar thing up the northern hemisphere, but with the 911s. I got to try that out sometime.

I was invited to the Porsche Winter Experience, but they charged 625 USD which was too much for my budget at the moment.

I had a Cayenne V6 over last weekend for free instead.
    Thanks Porsche!

    Well Erik....here's a solution:

If you can never make it to any kind of invite, V.I.P pass events and such due to some reason, share them! I'm sure it isn't too hard to pretend to be Erik.

I know I wouldn't of turned down the winter experience, even if it ment "borrowing" some money of close friends.

    Great photo sequence, Erik

I especially liked the grin on the passenger's face in the last photo.

Did you happen to notice what size wheels and type tyres were used??

    Thanks for the hard work.

All I know is they were P Zero with yellow text. 145 mm wide and A LOT of spikes. These are used for rally.

    It's soon winter.

Everybody should have these winter tires fitted to their RS6
