Perfect day, outstanding drive, great company -- thanks again to
John (Speedracer) and Robert (Robertv) for their efforts. It was nice to meet everyone!
This was the hardest I've pushed my beast since I've owned her; the route was a welcome change from the FDR Drive and the LIE...!
Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers!
Jeff

Either way, it sounds like you folks had a blast of a time.
It was great to meet everyone (and families). What an awesome drive! Thanks again Robert and John for all the legwork
It was the first time since I got the car in August I've really pushed it a little and wow, can I love this car more? Wish I didn't have the tire issues. Next time I'll get ready earlier.
Got a lot of great pics. Will try to post some later. I do have a small amount of webspace but don't know how to include here.... tips?

Check the FAQ tab up top about posting a pic, or send me your email and I'll show you the syntax. I can not type it here b/c it treats it like a picture.

Thanks John and Robert for setting up the meet, and thanks to everyone who was there for making it happen.I have to admit i didnt know the beast could be pushed that hard.I was also impressed with everyones driving skills, although me being a passenger in my dads beast,i did hold my breath more than once. The scenery was beautiful, although it passed by in a blur .I never thought i would say this, it was more thrilling than racing at the dragstrip.I hope we do this again sometime in the near future, like Jeff said you cant really drive the beast the way it was meant to be on the fdr...............................P.S the sound of five RS'6 at full throttle in unison is nothing short of motoring bliss.

I have never been drag racing, but I prefer road racing events (any track event that requires left turns, right turns and some elevation change.)
I have always said going fast in a straight line on the road does not require much skill (well drag racing does), BUT going fast in the turns is where the true skill comes in.
I have never driven a race car on a track, but I have been a passenger in one at Lime Rock. You think you are fast on the street, just wait until you are on a track. The driver and car do things that you never thought were possible. It seems that you are at the full limit all the time and it is wonderful.
I was lucky enough to drive Speedracer's 81 911 on our way home. You want to see a good driver, just look a Speed. He takes his 24 yr old Pcar and keeps up with most if not all current production cars.

Shucks Robert. Do those 2 slides count?
By the way, I am editing a 2 minute video. Anyone know how I can post it as a quicktime or other format (anything but WMV)?

I'm still a little dizzy from all those twists and turns ........I have newfound respect for the RS6 and for its drivers In one word WOW
