Don't know anything about the quality of Cardone rebuilt products but this is pretty cheap.

Thanks for your reply. But I don't want cheap. I want to know if someone knows the best pump I can buy as the real cost is in the labor. I don't want to have to pay for labor twice due to a faulty part.

Probably going to need to find a ZF rebult unit as it looks like Audi has discontinued the part. But it is a standard ZF design so I'm sure the parts availability for rebuilding from ZF and other manufactures is plentiful. A ZF rebuilt unit will probably at least have been checked for internal tolerances and specs on parts and not just seals replaced like many places can do. I'll probably just rebuld mine when the time comes. As I said basically the same pump has been used in multiple Audi's, BMW's, and Porsches and probably many other European cars.

I would say find a remanufactured OEM one if you really need one.

What makes you think that your pump is bad?

Consider replacing the reservoir if you have noise and a lot of turbulence in the reservoir, as there is a screen in there that eliminates aeration in the fluid when feeding the pump.
