    034 Control arm kit

    Hey everyone,

Any feedback on these? I'm trying a set on the Daytona before the Colorado trip.

    Taking off Stern adjustable uppers

oh yeah, there is another C5 RS6 Avant on US soil.

    Just sayin

I don't have anything bad to say about the 034 kit but if I had to do it over again I'd probably go Meyle HD just because you can still get the individual arms if one does go bad. I like to match when I can.

Yes, more stateside C5 RS6 Avant details...I'm somewhat on the look out for an S6 Avant swap candidate but if a legit RS6 Avant option is closer than 10 yrs out I'd consider it.

The front license plate holder is a tragedy. That combined with the angle/lighting on the fog grilles had me thinking it was an LLTEK masterpiece at first.

    Anyway, I digress.

You can't adjust the 034 adjustable control arms and get real time data from the alignment machine. Also the alignment is not infinite.

Adjustment consists of removing the pinch bolt and pulling both outer joints from the upright and then shorten/lengthen only in half turn increments. Major PITA.

It's much easier to access the other adjustable control arms out there with center turnbuckles.

This was the same complaint many had when they sold them for the D2 cars. I ended up fabbing a custom set for my S8 from B5/B6 SPC units and TRE turnbuckles from an F150

Also, I've never liked the condoms for covering the outer joints on the 034 units.

Sorry, I was not clear on my control arm choice.

Im installing the 034 non-adjustable uppers. Taking off the Stern adjustable

as for stateside RS6 Avants. There are two here in AZ. I sat in both and licked them.

Unfortunately our red tape machine down at the EPA is going to ring the register close to 20k. Making the final bill between 60-70k.

And this was sitting next to the RS6. It just cleared final EPA testing center and will be for sale soon. The last one sold in a week for over 70k

I figured they'd be in the $40-50k range to find and import. Any idea where the $20k premium comes from? Modifications needed to federalize or just paper work?

I just remembered I did have a lower boot split on me within a few hundred miles. My solution was to buy a cheap Febi unit (~$20) and swap just the boot.

Dave, the 034 arms give you the downforce to drive upside down?
