    creaky driver's seat anyone?

Mine creaks and moans with hard turns and such, getting a bit tired of hearing it LOL...I am not sure if it is a mount issue or simply the power movement motors being forced to move...

    Anyone with a similar issue?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Had a squeaking problem - it was the right base cushion bolster rubbing against the centre console. Some silicone spray on the console cures it. Sounds like your problem might be different, though...

Yes, I have heard that leather against plastic squeek, no big deal, my problem is more of a creak in the seats mounts.

    Thanks for the help.

Ye, had mine repaired twice and still evident, some bracket on the seat kept breaking or something not really sure but really annoying. Service manager said it was because I was a FAT B******

My o3 4.2 had this really bad.. The SM found the springs in the back of the seat were squeaking and somehow was able to access it and lube it. Never really asked him exactly what he did, but it is fixable. Unfortunately, it might mean another 6 hr drive for you..

I think this is also diet related. A diet with plenty of pulse vegetables is not without its side effects. Well depending on what it is you have been eating these 'side effects' may be arid or humid. Obviously you have an arid diet, so switch to eating something which will result in more humid side effects and you will save yourself a trip to the garage.

Don't tell Click 'n Clack about this, its a real insiders tip.

    OUCH....that's harsh....

I weight 225 myself.....to big for the seat I guess LOL..

I had a bracket brake suddenly in my 1981 Honda Accord - now that was a surprise reclining seat LOL....

I figured the mounts have broken here too...oh well....

More weight to loose I guess, goal = 200 lbs, down from 300 18 months ago..

Well, I only weight 155-160 lbs. (and my wife is Sub 100 lbs) so I doubt Audi would use that excuse with me. I like to call the noise "popcorn seats". Hear it all the time.

    Creak no more.....

I got under the seat with a light and a can of DW50 and lubricated the joints in the seat mechanism, and the noise is gone...

It was simple lubrication, and not a broken part....

Just thought I'd pass this on....

Rather use Silicone spray, but I could not find my can.....

Glad you found the origin of the seat from hell creaks.
Usually you can find silicone spray in any auto parts store. At least I've been able to.

Thanks for posting back your fix.
