took the beast to sun valley road rally with apr bust

Just finished the 2017 sun valley road rally!! pretty cool hanging out with edsel ford and henry ford the third.

Transmission is on the out but got a decent launch, at mile 1.2 was rolling 155 then the shut off. Is the apr tune really not deleting the top speed limiter? Utter disbelief as my 100 octane beast was silent at 160....

Any tunes delete the top speed limit for next year? just bought a audi transmission that was a cpo replacement with 40k.

Just so let down to stop at 160...

    Please share thoughts..

Mine certainly busts 155, 160, 165, 170, 175..with APR- You should contact APR if it is limiting.

I have mine up to 168 or so with stock tune.

I have the Sound Enhanced Exhaust and there is reportedly no limit on mine. I had to try it again a month later as I still could not believe it. Second time I chickened out at 160.

The first time a friend was riding shot gun with me, we missed our exit just after the GWB and had to run into New Jersey to find a turn around spot about 2 to 3 miles out of town. Was being chased by a large dark SUV, no lights, knew it was not a cop....so I hit the on-star to call 911 and hit the gas. The bastard stuck with me to about 140 and I just put the pedal to the floor and kept going. My friend yelled out "165" and I glanced down to see 168 and let off the gas. We made pretty good time getting back to our exit. LOL. Had to park under my hotel room window and sat up watching....bastards....that was in 2005.

At this point my hats off to anyone running their 14 year old car at those speeds.
