Thoughts on Albuquerque Craigslist Manual 6SPD

Any thoughts on this Manual-Converted RS6 for sale on Albuquerque's craigslist? It looks identical to an RS6 sold on Bring-a-Trailer nine months ago. The quick re-sale and low miles added (looks like about 1,000 miles) is throwing all kinds of red flags. I'm wondering if anybody on here knows the history of the car.

For sale now with 126,405 miles:
    https://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/6102379905.html

Sold on 8/12/2016 with 125,352 miles:
    http://bringatrailer.com/listing/2003-audi-rs6-manual/

The Bring-a-Trailer comments make it seem like a legit build with all the right work done (except using SteveKen's adapter plate). But the quick resale worries me!

I knew I recognized that car:
The prior owner beat the $hit out of that car (at least that is my opinion) after the 6 speed conversion and he was "smart" enough to Youtube it.
Looking at his videos, etc, one can only speculate that the PO like to abuse vehicles like a 16yo.

Personally, I would "pass" on this one...

He posted on this forum about his build: http://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/32...-do-need-help?

Check out his posts, watch the videos he posted, and decide for yourself.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the build thread. Haven't watch the videos yet.

Will you post that to BAT? I started to but you should get the credit for the find. I did bid on that auction.

I added it to the BAT comments for the listing.

Any additional feedback on the car boca rat? Since I'm going to use whatever I find as a DD, I'm willing to pay a premium for quality so plan on taking the advice of the board and tread skeptically.

I fell in love with that 0-100 in pouring rain video and went on impulse but it got a bit too rich for me.

I think other comments are fair: he didn't do the Steveken thing so beware, and he beat the snot out of it in the videos which is odd. But seems he is well know for big power builds. I would find out why he is selling so quick - could be legitimate reasons, could be because of a load of issues. Get a PPI from an RS6 mechanic who knows what to look for. Which is what I should have done...lol

Well, did he carefully drill it or just hack away though? I am not saying he did or didn't as not qualified to do so. What's the general consensus?

Have a look at the pictures... I can't remember who had the unmolested engine block next to the "modified" version but it gives you a good idea.

Of course maybe I should not be looking at our cars like an expensive unit... The mods are something I would have done when I was 14 trying to get an old farm truck running so that I could intentionally destroy it...

In case anybody is curious, it's back up on craigslist (after the listing had expired).

Definitely get a PPI is all I can say; I test drove a '14 S4 that was bought out of NM and the thing must've had three bent wheels, whole underside was covered in that reddish dirt. I've been to NM a couple times and it's beautiful country but it's... country.
