Smoke testing
Is this considered a sufficient smoke test? I plugged holes where the MAF goes with pipe test plugs. In one test plug was a port where I fed smoke at about 5-10 pounds. I only got a little smoke from these two solenoid looking things https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ux71dfIVzXU. Is feeding the smoke through the MAF holes sufficient to test all potential areas for leaks?

Yes, that is sufficient.
But you can also test the check-valve in crank ventilation system by taking off (and plugging) pancake valve hoses, then doing the same thing.
You're due for cam chain tensioner gaskets replacement, though. :\
