    VC gaskets ?????????????????????

Greetings to all. Any preference between OEM and Victor Reinz. Would like to get the forums opinions based hopefully on actual user experience.

On another point everyone may want to check there serpentine belt a little more frequently. I just changed mine, a Continental with 25k on it, it was cracked/aged. I know that Continental bought Gates awhile ago, so I don't know if there will be any change in quality. I've always had great luck with Gates. Be safe.

I actually like the gaskets that http://www.blauparts.com/ sells. Seem to be a little higher quality than the OEM. Supposedly a new design to alleviate the leaks that the 4.2 valve covers are reknowned for.

I got those from Blauparts also in the "Cam" seal kit....includes every seal including the VC gaskets.

Those have to be done DEAD on, if you over tighten you'll have a leak. My mechanic now knows this well. LOL
