LOL, I had a three year lease on a 2013 A8L 4.0 TT sweat car....and quicker than my RS6.....not faster due to limiter LOL.

The suspension is too soft though, the sport package was offered in 2014.

The A8L is not far from the S8 in performance....

    Enjoy it.

By the way, I smoked a 550ix on more than one occasion in my RS6(with a leaking intercooler). That guy was practically crying and demanded a rematch TWICE. LOL...now my RS6 has two new turbos....and he has a Massarati Should be interesting....

It it has been a challenge to find the non-L A8 w/4.0tt

S8 pricing is too steep at this point thus my search for the non-L

I like the styling better in the A8 over the S6. The S6 looks like A6....well kinda because it is. Lol

Going to drive it again today. This one has drive select and dynamic mode seemed to control the strut damping.

    Did yours have drive select?

No, my 2013 was an On the Lot car, black with black interior, no B&O, no special anything....just the Right Foot Candy. LOL Great car. I agree on the styling. It's very nice looking.

My dad picked up a 2014 CPO S8 in Daytona Grey with all the bells and whistles. It's great but he still laments over his old M5 V10. The S8 smokes that older M5 in EVERY WAY possible.

I stayed the hell away from an S6/S8 due to kid in college, was considering a new A4 or S4, was sick of waiting to even hear on engine for new S4, so found my M2. Great car.

    Perfect

The drive select makes all the difference in setting control. Goes from a fast barge to a fast controlled rocket. The shock damping control took care of the body compression and rebound quite well. I was happy with the chassis after that. We shall see today with a good look over the condition.

Thanks for the real world experience

I just looked at a used S8 last evening. Nice - but...
    '02 S6 Avant Silver - Pokey | Carbon Black/Ebony RS6 w/ stuff - darn quick | '03 Daytona Grey/Ebony RS6 w/ more stuff - quicker yet | '91 NSX CDN issue with 6spd & BBSC - quicker yet and then some | '87 Buick GNX OEM clone w/ lots of stuff - quickest hands down
