A camelback water bottle with tubing running to near the driver's mouth!
RS6 #1 904959, Daytona, Silver, tons of "stuff," went through puddle, dead engine, end of #1 for me, rebuilt by local enthusiast and thriving.
RS6 #2 904568, Avus, Ebony, no stuff, stock minus RNS-E.

I'm gonna guess a kegerator in the trunk and port-a-john under the driver seat... maybe an expanded gas tank as well? Fill that trunk!

No longer hit my head on falling trunk lid! And it does not drop like a stone any more.

    BEST MOD EVER!

    Hope you enjoyed!

    Mike

(lighten up it was just a joke.....) and I cannot figure out how to post a photo that is Portrait and not have it rotate to Landscape.

I did mine a couple months ago for the same reason...bought a good used set right off a part out. Easiest part to replace on an RS6? I thought so.

Actually the earliest parts I replaced in order:

Front break pads at 26 k miles, no bid deal, normal

the top lid for the arm rest (son broke that ) 26 k

the Hood Latch up front at 32k (twice, really cheap design)

and the FRIGGEN SUSPENSION at 32k.

My lid stays up on its own. 6.5 pounds. May have lost a few creature comforts.

I have really been enjoying this modification. I was able to open and close the trunk many times in the past few days without hitting my head. It is a joy.
