What a bunch of a***hats, liars, cheats and incompetent jerks. Glad you were able fix things yourself and are able to enjoy the car. Plus this forum is awesome!

Me: Okay, if you feel like it. Mind if I launch with you?
SRT: (looks at my car and laughs) Yeah, sure.

So as I instantly pulled 4-5 cars on him and continued to pull I let out so he could come up next to me. Their faces were priceless. LOL
I messed up though. Guess he was the hot car on the strip. Nobody else would play.

North Austin. The others seem to have a better rep. I have hit all of the review sites and hammered them but its only one little review amongst a sea of many.

Tonight I learned after a few rapid slow downs from a fairly high rate of speed that I am ready for new front rotors. Started to get steering wheel vibrations by the third run. Great way to blow $1300. LOL
On the bright side there is one unhappy Z06 owner in town.

Yeah but they shouldnt have done that so quick. Got to 130 and slowed to 60 real quick and then to 150 and back to 60 real quick and then to 175 and that time it shook the car hard enough to vibrate the sunroof shade. I think its just time. They look about 2mm worn so that puts them at only 4mm thick now.

But I am all for better cooling. Never saw a purpose in dust shields anyway and we typicly remove them on our Mark VIII and Mustang builds so I will do that. Thanks.

Now I guess I have to research the Phaeton mod. LOL

Check for brake pad deposits. You may have cooked brake pad material globs onto the rotors.

As you probably know, the Alcon rings can be purchased separately. Previously, I could obtain set of rings for approximately $600. However; last time I checked (a year ago)- it was going to run around $800. Good thing I stashed away a few $600/sets for future use.

C5 or C6 Z06? I had a C5 Z06 previously....it is a pretty quick car (low 12s and mid teens in the quarter easy). I guess a tuned RS6 with a good driver could match up well with a stock C5 Z06 with an average driver.

if it was a C6 Z06 he wasn't racing or maybe terrible driver.

On the site they are listed at $1300 for the pair of 370x32mm rotors. If you have a link for under $1000 please share.

2004 C5 Z06 special edition with the carbon fiber bits. Had exhaust for sure. I thought it was my friend as his was the only one of those in town I had seen but texting him proved that wrong.

If I can't find them at substantially less than $1300 when I use up my ring supply- I will throw the OEM calipers back on the car and go with another rotor option.

No idea what tune, ET and 1/4 speeds. I have to data log to figure out its tune. I am in the process of helping my brother out replacing his heater core so that kinda killed my weekend for borrowing my friends Vagcom as the heater core in his car is a major PITA. I may have time today to install my new gauge and at least know what boost level its at. Depends on how much longer we need on his car.
Never in my life have I done a heater core that is so hard. Freakin Lincoln engineers need to be shot.
