Can someone confirm the stock ride height from hub center to fender edge? The instructions for KW V1 says minimum height should be 14". I am at roughly 13.5" right now with wide tires (275s) and I am getting tire rub.
thanks

Getting tire rub on the fender or the inner liner in the front, or both? Front or rear or both tires rubbing? Have you had the fenders rolled at all? What actual tire size are you using? Stock wheels or different height/width/offset? Any spacers on wheels?
All of these questions and more, will make a difference in whether tires rub.
Quick example - straight line from fender edge for stock tire size (255/40/18 on 8.5" wide wheels with +35 offset) with KWV1's may be 14", but if you change tires to 275/30/20 on a 20x9.5 wheel with +28 offset and a 5mm spacer, then you've only got 13.25 inches or so straight line from the center of the wheel center cap to the fender because you've bumped the outside edge of the wheel outward around an inch. All these numbers make minute differences that add up to big differences.

Well im stock, with (I think) a good DRC system, and 15" in the rear and 14" in the front.

Looks like I might have been a little off on the rear measurement, so maybe add 1/4 or so.

Thanks Kruat...That is the information I was looking for...so KW is recommending not to go lower than 14" on that measurement ..which is essentially stock height in the front. I am 13.5" front and back. Will probably raise it 0.5" and see how it rides. I may raise the rear an inch to maintain a "rake". I have heard that losing the rake might mess up the handling characteristics of the car?

Sorry...just re-read the KW specs for that measurement...their minimum for the ride height range is 13.38" and max is 14.2"

I have stock drc. I measure 14 1/4" front and 14 3/8" rear.
Handles great imo

I run 13.5 rear.
Zero issues both cars
I run just a tad more in the front. Say 13 5/8
Still maintain rake due to the way body lines rise. I measure the rocker to determine chassis set.
Dont go up an inch in the rear. Imho
If the v1s suck...they suck and nothing you can do. Its in spec for ride height...you got what you got
Raise the front .25 inch and leave the rear

Thanks Dave..what suspension are you running? I went back and measured both sides, here are my measurements...
LF: 13 5/8"
LR: 13 1/2"
RF: 13 1/8"
RR: 13"
so it is lower on the right side

Thanks...I may bring it up a little higher than you have it since I have 275s which are rubbing inner fender liner. Perhaps 13 5/8" front and 14" rear just to start

13.5 rear!
Do it
You dont know how much I have messed with mine to get it where it is. Im begging. Lol
...well know secret, Dave is always playing with his
Yep..........
.
Very nice Dave...Now I will have ride height envy...not sure if I can go that low without rubbing..I am about 0.5" lower than that

Just an update...raised ride height to slightly above Dave's ride height 13 7/8" front and 13 5/8" rear ..... Ride is now much better with the replacement strut and Hotchkiss sway bars. I also don't get as much tire rub (only occasionally on an on ramp with a big dip). It is still not like the MRC suspension on the CTS-V but that is probably not a fair comparison.
I will stick with this set up to see how it holds up...so no Koni Yellows for now.
