Don't forget these guys when you get new rotors, roughly double the life they say...and they're cooler.

Yea that's an amazing deal on those and cheaper as well. Cheaper for the RS5 model too.

Give me P/N's and I'll punch them in.

Far as I can tell RS5 wavy rear rotors are very spendy. Checking into it....

OEM is less costly, fits, and is directionally vaned. The RS6 is the only VAG car made with directional rotors. I see no X-reference of OEM RS6 rotors with anything else made...

The Audi R8 front rotors are a direct fit and exact fit-- not undersized like the RS5 rotors (not that it may actually matter). Bit cheaper but not directional on the right side (only the left is correct).

To each his own of course.

    I didn't, just a 5 second google search.

You're in the wrong business if you don't like price matching. Sorry.

Seems they are using one piece rotors from various suppliers. Not sure if those pics are representative?

The front set of OEM RS6 are the only ones I currently have. I can't get new ones until mid April. (this fellah makes me laugh)

The OEM RS6 rotors are always low stock and often back ordered. I'm going to take a stab and say that whatever is in the country now is what we have. Company i go thru is the largest in the nation and supplies to all indy shops. And likely most of the on-line retailers also.

I may pull my Ebay add (OEM fronts) , as those rotors were/are earmarked for my car. Wanted to do some trackday type driving with new OE rotors and BlueStuff pads....and new PSS's.

The Zimmerman and R8/RS5 rotors are looking okay for now, however.

    Moving on:

Is there anyone currently in need/want of brake rotors in the next couple weeks? If so, can price some brake kits together.
    Cheers, G2/Gary

It's just more money for the next mod or maint. item

JHM has a 2 piece rear rotor for the rs6 relatively cheap but I'm kinda picky and like things to match.

    Old topic, but:

Clipped from JHM tech info is not exactly correct: -Rotor Cooling Center Fin Design: Stock = Straight Fin, JHM = Airfoil - MORE EFFICIENT for better cooling

The fins/vanes are not straight/radial as stated. OE rotors are directional for each side. Interestingly they state the rotors will also fit the A6/Allroad. That is doubtful due to significant difference in diameter, and the 2 difference sizes the A6 uses. A non issue for the RS6, of course.

JHM does not state whether the rotors are L-R directional to match OEM. They do not mention country of origin for the rotors, only hats.

My machinist said he was not going to turn/resurface this brand of rotor again, due to the hat design. Unless he charged straight shop time. Even that was a concession. No issues with the OE design however.

I have nothing at all against JHM. I fully support US manufacturing on our turf. Maybe someone here has used the JHM rear rotors and can comment further.

If the dollar is worth more than preserving the brakes we have -- and do we ever need them-- then one should at least know what might be lost beforehand. Is that worth saving $100 per pair over the OEM rear rotors?

There's one more set of front OEM rotors available. Price reduced $71 because of this.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUDI-RS6-OEM...2a7b0e&vxp=mtr

Will sell OEM rear rotors at $739 if front and rear rotors are purchased (set of 4). With rotor set EBC pads are $199 Yellows, $219 Blue F/R set. Hardware kits also available ($78, both sides on front), and most service item parts.

Willing to deduct an add'l 3% off costs on complete F/R rotor set, if PayPal or Credit Card fees are not charged to me. Most shop clients send me checks to avoid this, often for large amounts. Willing to extend that courtesy to our group on a each case basis.

    Other items available:

Zimmerman RS6 front rotors (2 sets available) that should be about $680. Have a full timing belt kit of my own making coming in early next week (can sell the pre-made Conti kits also).

RS5/R8 front OEM rotors right about $700. Available 1st week next month. Final price TBD, pending new inventory costs.

I can be reached at (541) Five One Three - Zero 8 Zero 1 and gary @ cascadeautowerkes.com (please keep this info private to our group)

Have a 500hp NA engine to finish building and another RS6 to tear apart for major services, and more Audi's and Porsches staring me down....
Gotta run for now, but hope all this helps.

For you FB'ers, I run two specific RS6 groups ("Audi RS6" with now over 600 members). Good group from all around the world. Lots of hot Avants.

Please consider requesting to join this one, as it's exclusively for RS6 owners.

There's a few here that are probably already on my forums. I regularly refer people to rs6.com.
