    S6 Transmission Problem

    Hi there

I'm new to the board but hope someone may be able to help. I have an 02 S6 Avant with Tiptronic, and recently when I lift off the accelerator at relatively low speeds in town 30-50mph the revs seem to fluctuate. As soon as press the accelerator it settles again but makes for a slightly jerky drive. Does anyone know what it might be? I had it serviced around 5000miles ago but this is more recent that that

I suggest that you post on Audiworld.com too :)

I have a 02 S6 Avant with 11K miles on the clock, but have never had the same as you? This is a great forum for the mighty RS6, but audiworld.com has the market on the S6 and A6.

    RobertV-

Sounds more like a throttle or engine managemet issue. I have an S8 which I believe is the same transmission as the S6 and I have never had the issue you are describing. I would take it to the dealer and have them check the fault codes to see if anything comes up. I would guess your transmission is ok and it is most likely something else. Good luck I hope you find an economical solution to the problem.
