Best Brake Pads?? EBC, Hawk, thoughts???

What are the best brake pads for the beast? EBC red stuff, yellow stuff, Hawk ? I just want low dust, and no noise. Also the ones that meet this criteria and last the longest would be nice. Thoughts?? Much appreciated!

From what I've read on here is red don't do well the stock rotors, so I went with EBC yellows, no issues so far minus the noise for the first couple of miles. I think a lot of the guys run either yellows or hawk HPS? No 100% sure though, I'm sure others will chime in.

Yellows on one ride here. Reds on another. OEM's run on all rides previously. Have not run the new set of Ferodo's I've had here, but have run Hawk's and swapped those for the Yellows. IMO based upon the criteria you outline for dusting, squealing, longevity, and also accounting for $$, I rated things as follows: EBC Yellows, EBC Reds, Hawks, OEM Pagid's - in that order (better to worse). Can't personally speak for where the Ferodo's fall in to the queue.
    '02 S6 Avant Silver - Pokey | Carbon Black/Ebony RS6 w/ stuff - darn quick | '03 Daytona Grey/Ebony RS6 w/ more stuff - quicker yet | '91 NSX CDN issue with 6spd & BBSC - quicker yet and then some | '87 Buick GNX OEM clone w/ lots of stuff - quickest hands down

EBC yellows here. No dust, no squeal, good bite and modulation.

Theres other posts on this...i use EBC Yellows. Reds might warp the rotore if driven hard.
For me OE Ferodos are dreadful in every way....

Yellows wear forever, excellent heat range and modulation, minimal dust, but here in PnW can get squeaky at times (after too much light use)

I have an extra set of front Yellows for sale.

Hawk HPS here, braided lines, works just fine. Sounds like Hawk Ceramic or WBC yellows are the next step up...

don't want to go to far off track, but do the braided lines make that big of a difference?

Not much I would say, but cheap and easy, every bit counts. Maybe helps more if things get really warm, but I think our stock lines are good.

Went with Hawk Performance Ceramics when I did brakes back in October/November. Way less noise (zero since bedding finished, in fact), and WAY less dust. Initial bite is not as hard as stock pads were, but overall braking performance is very similar to stock pads. Highly recommended for the $217 I paid for all 4 corners on Amazon. Note: Price has gone up almost $100 since I ordered, now $312. Yikes.

Ive got a set laying around that needs to go on....however the S/S lines on my old VW made a huge difference with single piston brakes. Have 4 pot Brembos and floating rotors that ought to help even more.

Good brakes will keep everyone on track......

Hawk ceramics work wonders for me....only issue now is that with the 2 1/2 feet of snow I've been driving thru, the sensor got knocked off so now it shows I need brakes every time I drive the car ;0)
