Question Anyone have experience with the SonyEricsson P800?

    Hi,

    I'm contemplating a purchase of this Phone/PDA.

Anyone have any experience of using it? Any serious gemlins? etc.

    Cheers.

    What about T-Mobile's MDA?????

There are 4 (or so) of them in use in our company -> working fine (ok, ... it's got Microsoft Pocket PC 2000 on it -> so it crashes sometimes , .. but, .. who cares!!!)

-> but i think these 2 are also ok!!!

    -> what about the Blackberry???

That's enough to stop me from buying it...

    Only Joking Erik

Thanks for the tips fellas, but I got my heart set on Sony Ericssons after having a T68i, which ended up getting destroyed, but that's another story.

Anyone know when the P900 comes out, in the UK? If it's a long time, I won't be bothered waiting for 4 months...I rather settle with the P800 if it's over 3-4 months...Impatient me, but a Mobile (Cell) is a necessity, which I find vital for up-to-date communications.

Oh, and how is it price wise? It looks really good compared to the P800.

    Just noticed this thread!

    PLEASE don't get the P800!!!

I found it almost completly useless and impossible to use. At one point I had to turn the phone off to end a call because it was so difficult to work out!

Ended up returning it for your average Nokia phone which works 20times better!

    Hope I wasn't to late!

    Thanks,

You weren't too late, just waiting on the P900 to come out.

Technology and gizmos aren't a problem for myself, even if ending a call is complex...

The P900 is being reviewed in many magz.
I heard of a friend who got one, he's amazed!

Only drawback I heard of is that the menues can be a little slow.

    So get the P900!

Technology isn't a problem for me either.

It just seemed that this phone went out of it's way to make things difficult. After being in a call one wrong press with that little stick took you to some other menu which would take another 3 or 4 clicks to get back to the call menu where you could end it! I'm also not made of money so spending an extra couple of minutes on the phone to people when there is no need does kind of get annoying.

Just a very difficult and frustrating phone to use in my opinion.

Don't know about the P900 but i'm sure it'll be alot better than the 800!
