YouTube Where does this leave the RS models .... in the dust ...

    The S6, 0-60 in 3.7 ....

Even if the car does this ... I would think this would p155 off the RS owners .. New RS4 and RS5 etc etc

DSG + Turbo + Quattro = Winning. I'm a bit unsure on the 3,7 second figure but it's damn quick which is good news for the RS6.

it sets new borders for competition and for the Premium Sport Saloons, just like the RS6 C5 did in 2002...Vorsprung Durch Technik....says it all, it's not just a simple motto! Can't wait for the new RS6 !
    Ex.: 2004 Audi RS6 C5 ABT, Milltek non-resonated, 19" RS4 B7 rims, RNS-E - SOLD
    2004 AUdi RS6 C5, SE exhaust, RNS-E, 19' original rims - SOLD
Now :2009 Audi RS6 C6 - stock yet pretty fast

It's not just the numbers. RS models have always been on another level to drive than S-models. With S-model you get around 90% of the performance for about 60% of this price of RS-model.
New RS5 cab, 0-100km/h 4.9sec. The old RS4 cab did it for 4.9sec. Not all models are going forward...

then what would you care about if 0-60 is not important for an S6?....if you don't care about speed and power then you don't buy an S6, just buy a regular A6 with a 2.0T engine and there you go, you have a very pretty Audi! IMO who is buying the S6, RS6 wants speed and power combined with the other well know qualities that Audi offers, but definitely i wouldn't pay the price for S6/RS6 if it wasn't for the combo the car offers, and speed and 0-60 is an important part of the package!

    It's a 0 to 60 MPH (96.6 Km/h) time, not a 0 to 100 Km/h time.

All that means is it will take another 0.1s possibly 0.2s longer, hardly a deal changer in the grand scheme of things.

US magazine times use something called rollout so the 0-60 time is usually at least .3 of a second better than what European publications will show. Eitherway the S6 is quicker than the RS5 to any speed.

Perhaps Audi will counter the next M3 with a RS5 4.0T as the 4.0T didn't end up being much heavier than 4.2 V8 by some elfian magic. Some are saying the next C AMG will use the SLK AMG 5.5 liter naturally aspirated engine but AMG is quite lazy (in a good way) and likes to stick the new 5.5T into everything (aside from the SLK as that would put the SLS to shame) Perhaps RS folks will take it easy as well rather than making a brand new V6 RS motor for the next RS4/5?
