    groaning from the rear right

    Hi all,

The groaning from the rear right is getting loader by the day now. its even audible from outside the car...
Its groaning only when the car makes an upward movement.
ive tried to record the sound but cant get it loud enough to hear.
when i sit on my rear bumper and make the car get down and up, i can feel i slight kind of play (like 2 pieces touch eachother...) with my hand on the inner lining just above the rightrear suspension...
    Any ideas?

I had the same issue about a year and a half ago. There's a rubber boot that the top of the coil sits in. It squeaks or groans in the top pearch. Take it out, clean it up, and apply a layer of grease.

is it supposed to be greased or is it a temporarly solution for a worn rubber boot...?

Not a temporary solution. Not intended to be greased either. Mine had road grime built up in it and was the reason for the squeaking/creaking. After a thorough cleaning, a thin layer of grease seemed like a good idea.

Havent had any issues since. I think I had a thread about it.
