Buzzing noise when turning left.
Son's 2000 A6 4.2 has a buzzing noise from the front right area when turning left. A little when driving straight and goes away completely turning right. Thought it was the big tires (they were rubbing, but not it). Replaced the right front outer CV joint (it was shot). Still makes the noise. Wheel bearing maybe?
Oh yea, noticed this after he had me look at it 'cause the trans slipped 2nd to 3rd. Oh joy.

Thanks Tozo. I couldn't find the "bow down" logo. Appreciate the help. God knows I need it.

Right wheel bearing it was. Need a press to do this regardless of buying the bearing or the bearing assembly. Also a triple square 12mm which I didn't have.
