    Rental car SD airport?

Input from anyone? I need a car for the week, was looking at a cts, but the Avis site is crap. Usually get an economic from Hertz, but wanted to drive a bit more, don't mind the $. Found an F 430 for 1k each day

The rental business there stinks as all the fun cars are in LA, not in SD.
Even if you reserve a Convertible Mustang, it typically is the 6 cylinder, not the GT or Hertz350 or Shelby that you are thinking.

If you do find something fun, you usually will pay a reasonable daily rate but get crushed on the mileage charge.

That V6 Mustang was sloww, my diesel BMW four pot had better power IMO. Picking another one up tomorrow and driving it from Sanford to Miami, I still laugh when I think about the guy at the car rental place telling me to be careful as 'this cars powerful sir'. I have my fingers crossed I get the V8 tomorrow.

Hmm, maybe I'll just stick with a standard for the week and get a performance car for one day...don't have $1k for a Ferrari, but there were some M3's in the $500 range...

Ha, never noticed until now, is it automated, don't really see the option to rate. Isn't every thread on here 5 stars? Well except for me try to find a damn rental from the SD airport that is fun...

Was set to get a Maxima, they were out of course, paid a bit more, got the Infiniti G37x. Not bad, actually has some good kick, and you can shift manual on the console stick. About $100 a day with gas though, comfortable and responsive. They had a few of the S60 coupes, didn't check price though...
