Ditto! I mean, the 0-60 and 1/4 times are more what one would expect from the GT-R! Wow! And this is "just" the S6! The new trannies (and of course quattro) are SO crucial for achieving times like that!

the only thing audi needs to do is keep the weight at S6 weight (4200 lbs). yes, it'll be heavy but not any more so than F10 M5. if the RS6 makes 560 hp it will have 140 more hp!!!!. sure, it'll prob lose the DSG (unfortunately) and this will keep it from achieving the same accel to gearshift ratio that the S6 has and so it won't have a proprtionately faster 0-60 time but it'll still be faster than the M5. we'll have to see re: weight. it shouldn't be too difficult since the engine will be essentially the same except perhaps the turbo having some slight changes vs S6 (similar to mild changes betweeen the panamera turbo ands turbo S- titanium turbine wheels-).

Why do you think it would loose the DSG for use in the RS6?

I thought the whole switch to V6 was a load of BS because the M3 has been all but confirmed to be getting a revised version of their inline 6.

Apparently there is actually quite a big difference between the 420 hp and the 520 horsepower versions of the new V8 which means that the S8 and RS6 have room for even more performance.

Looking at these figures, especially 0-100mph, it cant be under 500 bhp...
This performace sets a whole new standard in this class, it actually beats an CLS 55 and 63 AMG (not biturbo) to this speed...
