The bolsters are better. The alcantara inserts make me woozy! Why oh why couldn't we get these seats???

I dont know. The seats are a definite weak spot of the car, imho. side support is so weak. down low its ok, but up mid back and shoulders, can slide around more than in a modern honda civic.. sad.

I don't like the fur-mouse alcantara on the seat covers, IMHO all-leather -as in my car-looks more luxurios and easier to keep clean. I agree that that US Recaros are a joke. Anyone knows why those changes on US models? ( Recaros, Battery in the trunk, transmission shifting programs, etc, ?.

let's do one, mine is a GCC spec, but i don't really know what exactly are the differences from the Euro Spec, as far as i see they are the same, except the Sat Nav system which wasn't offered for this market, probably because there were no maps for this region at that time...the main difference from the US ones is the seats, i have the Recaro ones
I think the seats had to do with crash testing - Audi did not want to crash test two cars for the limited US market. Battery in the trunk? I would guess it had to do with Audi wanting to put a larger battery for the US market.... because..... We use more electricity here on out cars????
As for the Nav system I am going to guess that Audi did not include it to keep the cost at a point were they thought they could sell. With Nav, Recaro's 19" wheels, the car would have listed for 100k which AoA probably thought was a non starter in 2003.
