    Fault-code-apalooza

I scanned my RS6 today for the first time. The check engine light came on yesterday, for the first time in the two weeks I've had the car. The previous owner did disclose that the car throws a torque converter code periodically, so that was not a surprise. But there were a few surprises...

    Code:
    Address 01: Engine Labels: 077-907-558-BCY.lbl

                P1453 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent
16825 - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow
                P0441 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - MIL ON
18032 - MIL Request Signal Active (Check TCM for errors too!)
                P1624 - 008 - Implausible Signal

    1 Fault Found:
    01546 - Sensor for Parking Aid; Rear Mid-Left (G204)
31-00 - Open or Short to Ground

    End ---------------------------------------------------------------------
I cleared the codes before I left work and the only one that returned is 18032. Maybe that's because VCDS clears the ECU codes before the TCU codes, so it's still registering the TCU MIL?

Any comments on the EGT, evap, and parking sensor codes? Are any of these common RS6 issues? I guess the parking sensor code explains the annoying tone every time I put the car in reverse. Is there any consequence of the EGT code?

Engine - EVAP error is the N80 solenoid problem. Check connection, check the sensor itself. The EG sensor error is an occasional one so I presume that the sensor itself is OK but there is just an electrical problem - maybe a corroded connector
Trans - Yes, You have to clear it before the TCU and have an eye on it
Parking - faulty sensor in the rear bumper. Remove the bumper, try to swap two sensors (faulty one with a good one) and check if VCDS is going to throw other error (it will mean that You just have to replace the sensor)

I've got an extra Torque converter body if you're looking to rebuild. ACE will do the rebuild for $450, I'll sell/ship it for about $250, will cost about $1500 to have it put in, down for 2-3 days. You can go a while too, but it's damn sweet having a working/upgraded one!

Thanks for the offer, but I am going the 6 speed route. I have the adapter plate, flywheel, starter, etc. Just need to pick up an 01E and related bits, and figure out the CAN bus.
