Back in July, Audi said that a production decision concerning the Stunning Audi Quattro Concept would be made by September 2011. It is now almost the end of the month and I've heard nothing. Does this mean it is dead? I hope not.

In a interview with "Michael Dick" Board Member for Technical Development ...he said to a question.
The nice looking Quattro that we all saw a while back, might not be financially viable, so we will have to see
So my presumption , we will see a lot of it back in the next TT.

Still the best picture of the car.
Maybe we will see styling wise something back of it in the Next Gen Audi A5 and with a 4.0TFSI engine.

I'm still hoping for a RS5-based lightweight version of this, I'm sure it would be a big succes...
I would not mind if this end up as the next TT with a new roof line.

Given the flexibility of the new MQB platform, this shouldn't be too much of a disappointment. I am sure that next generation TT will get lightweight treatment including extensive carbon fibre body parts and aluminium suspension components to drop its weight by at least 100 kg. Add more powerful 5-cylinder engine and cool styling and we should get something that's none too shabby and not too expensive.
Hardly a surprise! Audi have become more about chasing lighting technologies, drive-less steering and sub 100g emissions than - driving fun...
Very nice Museum piece.

Interesting, I liked both. I do admit it has that stout look.
