this featrue (I would say this is change of philosophy but not feature
what is mentioned is rain sensor and some "new" hill assist (noone knows what this is abt).
forgot to mention that body of the car will have several adjustments.
speaking realistically, RS5 will stay mostly the same. no new engine/gearbox. all changes are related to "additional value" which is "touchy but useless", a lot to be delivered from new A6/A7.

How is possible that they would sell an A5 with new front/back end and still keep the old design for its more special S and RS iterations?!! Who is gonna be so stupid to buy those for those few month before the changes arrive completely through the whole line up?

As far as I am aware yes it will be available as an option.
Hanging the tail out is Vanity
but choosing AWD is Sanity
As per that photo - they are NOT! As long as we have fog light below - main head lights can't be full LED as they are ALWAYS an ""all-weather'' lights as such.

beleive or not but Audi is doing this. apparently they do not really care if pre-facelifing S5/RS5 will be ordered or not after Sep'11.

there is no specification of what exactly new headlights will be. just "new headlights".
I told before the RS5 2011 ends the production early October and I hope we can order the new RS 2012 in December.

Maybe as an availability of specific models to particular markets but not as world premiers is what your info is based..,.

so, what is the laucnhplan for A5:
- July 2011 - End of Secrecy, they will show it up,
- IAA 2011 - A5 roll out,
- November 2011 - Russian mkt positionining.
new A5 features:
- new car body design (back, front, side),
- light & rain sensor,
- autoHold (something new),
- new steering wheel.
finally. what comes next is Laucnh of RS5 in Feb'12.
to underline above - all is valid for Russian mkt, of course.
You know anything about a new Adaptive Cruise Control for the A5 with Stop & Go and the new MMI with Touch?

no news abt new ACC or MMI... hope that finally MMI Touch will be installed.
sorry but there is no explanation on what new light/rain sensors will be. obviously A5 has them now, but new ones (?) to come.
