    Lightbulb "add to cart" HMS Invincible

    A wonderful opportunity to own a piece of great history!

    Probably not too costly, could be the perfect "TAX FREE" zone we all need right?

    Perfect for 1/8 mile racing and donuts.

    Will probably store loads of cars as well for the winter.

    What do you say? GROUP BUY? Where do we put her? (if we use her as a bridge we can get toll)

    HMS Invincible is for sale by tender. Laid down in 1973 at Vickers Shipbuilding, Barrow-in-Furness, she was completed in 1980. She is currently stable for tow, subject to buyer confirmation.
    Displacement - Current 17000 Tonnes
    Estimated metal weight - 10000 Tonnes
    Estimated metal % - 95% mild steel
    Length - OA 210m, W/L 193m
    Draught - Fwd 5.2m, Mid 5.8m, Aft 5.8m

    Perfect for transferring NON - US RS6, both C5 and C6, to the US and abroad!!!!

    The only drawback - FUEL...

    She won't fit in my Garden!

    Blimey, this makes me feel old (at 39). I remember watching that ship in action during the Falklands conflict in 1982 when she was only a couple of years old. Along with HMS Hermes she was the flagship of the Atlantic task force.
