    I really like the new 5 Series, and I like this even more. Does that make me a bad person?

    new 5 series is indeed a handsome car. not to audi standards, but actually acceptable (especially vs the old one). same applies to the new 7. this gran coupe is better than both and what a bmw should look like imo. vs the awkward CLS and less than appetizing (to my eyes) A7- at least as far as the concept version from some angles is better.
    Past- A4, TT, S4

    Present- R8 V10

    I guess BMW made it back into the Desing "game"

    Chris Bangle gone, BUT Adrian von Hooydonk took over, and how.

    @Ben, of course you are

    It looks good!

    But isn't there any photo of its interior?

    My wife keeps saying the same thing LOL!

    I think Audi does interiors like no other company on the planet, but the current exterior of the A8 is not as nice (IMHO) as the new 5,7 and this new concept. Very nice.

    the same adrian von hooydonk that actually penned the e65/66 7er and e63/64 6er?!! many of us aren't aware of, but he was the main guy behind almost all designs past 10 years! poor Chris only got bad credits only cause he's been on the top of the chainlist!

    Funny thing is that it seems to me that BMW overrun Audi with this... We are expecting A7 for a while now, and BMW showed this in flash... It is a ''concept'', OK, but it will be built and it want be much difference from this...

    Agreed. But this is HARDLY the first time Audi dropped the ball. WAY back there was a "concept A4 4 door coupe" that never quite materialized. Bam... Merc came out with the CLS. Before that it was the Avantisimo (spell?) A8 wagon, freaking Chrysler (Merc owned) of all companies came right out with the Magnum and (Euro) Chrysler uber large wagons... I could go on.

    It seems Audi is not brave enough to cary through with a great idea. They simply talk about it and wait for a competitor to beat them to market!

    just like the cs concept they have never released??!!
    you can find everything abt this 'Gc concept on http://www.germancarforum.com/index.php , along with some ''internal sources'' info which state that not even a mechanical model has been made of it! first thing to show up is the new 6er which is basically as same as this one (probably toned down around bumpers etc.) end of this year publicly and then probably few more years until 4 door version arrives...
    a way behind the A7, I say....

    the sportback concept (the A7 preview) was shown last year in detroit and only few scoops while testing had leaked before... not sure which 3 years are you talking about?
    to the contrary, we are yet to see any spyshot of the bmw 6GT in a whild! so the things are not looking very promising in terms of proximity of it's official debut!
