Audi does not specify an interval for trans fluid changes stating that it's "lifetime fluid". I personally do mine every 20k miles, but every 40k would probably be sufficient.

As V8weight mentioned, Audi says the fluid is for life, how long that life is becomes debatable. ZF who manufacturers the transmission on the other hand, says that under heavy and severe use (I think 450~500bhp constitutes severe) to change it ever 60K.

    Hi, all!

It seems that there is an error in part number list for timing belt service (35000 and so on).
You've stated part number 077 109 244 C both for rollers and tensioner lever.
The actual number for tensioner lever is 077 109 485 F.

Audi dealer mails me via usps and letter says "its time for your 70,000 mile service" and they include a coupon for 10% off but do not list what needs done. According to the list below there is no "70,000 mile service interval" Can anyone advise on what they make of this?

I do understand that with my RS6 currently at 70,xxx it's time for me to start saving for the major service @ 75,000. Thniking of paying Dion a visit in NJ for that....

I just got the same letter/coupon from the dealer for 90000 service.

Dealer doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground sometimes.

Stick with the listed intervals you referenced.

Thanks! Just checking are we sure it is ok to use oil for Turbo Diesel Applications in the RS6? Also does anyone have a good & economical online supplier of everything needed for an oil change? Thinking Filter and Oil, not sure if new drain plug is needed? TIA

TXT was actually a diesel app oil

I use ECS for fluids and filters. Genuine doesnt ship fluids unfortunately.

As for the drain plug, I change the gasket only N0138503. If yours is getting rounded out it might be a good idea to change the whole plug (028103059A + N0138503).

I get my oil from autozone rotella t6 high temperature and my filter from my parts store. Cost me about $45 per oil change.
