Smog test issues

So here in So Cal we need to have our cars sniffed by the state every two years to make sure they are not modified and are not polluting too much. And the state collects a few extra bucks as well, which for California is sort of important these days.

So the beast flunks because it will not reset in the ODB II computer that the emissions system is ready. No faults showing on the scanner... So off to Pacific we go and while were at it lets get a new battery before the winter. $343!

They have not been able to get the computer to state it is ok - meanwhile there are no faults registered.

Ideas ? BTW my Vag Com came today after the car is already at the dealer....

Reflash ECU - cleared everything up - now why no codes or no other problems - no idea. Car ran fine throughout.
