RS5 owners in Germany (maybe in other countries...) have a sofware update scheduled for their car.

Does anyone know about that ? Few more HPs ?

    Thanks for the answer.

Are we (in the US) not getting this version of the RS5?

    And for our Audi:
Euro-spec RS5 - guy from Audi brought it out. Real nice guy...he said that we won't get the RS5 in this generation, but it's almost a definite that we will for the next A5 style. I'm hoping he brings something nice out next weekend as well

I remember qisha already answering to that question mentionning it was for model 2012 adn that RS5 would not be impacted by the looks, but only by multimedia and details....

Do you really think so early comes the Facelift for the A5/RS5?
I think a little bit later at the IAA 2011 in September!

The Multimedia stuff is the new MMI+ or?

it makes full sense the car was presented in 2007. so it will be 4 years after initial release (mid life).... its not too soon.... and they also have to chaneg the S5 coupé engine from V8 to the 3L compressor as they did with sportback and cab...

no idea about exact multemedia changes

Yes that's sounds good, I think presented in March 2007 and to buy in June 2007.

Facelift perhaps May/June 2011? Its really not to early ...
I hope the Facelift comes in that time (I need a new car)

AutoBild Sportscars - Audi RS5 vs. BMW M3 CP & Porsche 911 Carrera 4S PDK

The Porsche won the test because it knows everything better and faster than the others. Second place goes to the M3 Competition Package, great mix of handling and comfort. Third place: RS5 - the car for "hobby-racers".

    Sachsenring-tracktimes:

    1:38,6 min - Carrera 4S PDK
    1:40,7 min - M3 DKG Competition Package
    1:40,9 min - RS5 (with ceramic brakes)

I just goes to show how important weight is to everything. Here the Porsche with arguably the worst possibly weight distribution but the best time and it's all down to having the least weight to effect things.

Surprising how little the gap was between the improved M3 and the RS5, if only Audi had seen sense and lowered it's weight to a decent amount it could not only have destroyed the M3 but probably have beaten the Carrera as well.

    P.S.
    Letter to Audi.

0.2s is the difference of a coin toss. Sometimes it lands 'heads up' and other times 'tails up'. As for the 911 C4S, not really sure what an £80+k sports car was doing in this test.
