You forgot about the wheelsSo... just a couple mods then...
Yeah, Just a couple of things, ... with more to come I think. I am just starting to track the car and I really like that - I have started looking into what else to add (brakes, tires, cooling, safety, etc), cause I think the engine power thing is kind of in pretty good shape at this point. And so far - knock on wood - I have had no issues whatsoever with the tranny. Maybe I'll post a question on what other track mods people on this forum would reccomend.

Congrat's !
What year, milage, colour, package... WE NEED PIC'S !!!
Welcome, and enjoy your new car !
Thanks. It's a 2003 Daytona grey RS6 with ebony interior, carbon fibre trim, enhanced exhaust, 46k miles, Audi warranty until 10/10 or 100k miles. I'll upload pix soon!!
Congrat's, once again... !
Waiting for pic's...
T minus 3 days and counting! Further to some good advice from the forum regarding hi miles, lo $$ or low miles, hi $$ and various searches here and elsewhere, I'll be flying out to MN with my buddy to purchase an Avus Silver/Ebony specimen with 47k and factory warranty until 02/07 (a major bonus when purchasing a vehicle from a private seller that might be prone to expensive repairs ;-)). Should be a great drive from there to Seattle as I am hoping for few reasons to keep things slow in ND or MT. The reward for this straight driving will the the North Cascades along highway 20 from Winthrop to I-5. Mountains with glaciers, fall foliage, elevation.... Did I mention killer turns and great asphalt?
The car is stone stock with the exception of window tinting and paint protection, and likely will be left that way for some time (it has the SEE, which was a desired feature for me). The way I see it, if it's been done right the first time, don't make it worse by trying to improve it. I have a Honda ST1100 and feel the same way. However, the '69 Kaiser Willys jeep is another story!
I've spent some time reviewing the archives instead of sleeping to gather a "to do" list, which includes, for example, reviewing the drain holes in the cowl area, replacing the DVs and sealing the air intake to reduce unintended introduction of hot air into the left cylinder bank. And while I've come across many mod suggestions, I haven't come across a compendium of such maintenance/upgrade matters. When it reaches a critical mass, I'll post a file for others to download.
As some may know, I kept my first Audi (a 5000 CS TQ) until 250,000 miles. Very few problems and I'm still sorry to see it go. Howver, I have a feeling that my sadness will soon be displaced by a SEG, and hope to put some 200,000 miles on the new beast! To remain green, the wife's replacement minivan will be a hybrid and the kids get scooter as opposed to cars. This is my indulgence!
Trip completed; mission success! (correction to the above, the warranty expires in 2008).
If this beast proves to be even moderately reliable, which it should, I don't expect to sell it for some time. WOW
