    MTM RS6 performance data

The RS6 is a sedan with an MTM 730 hp upgrade.

    MTM RS6-R 730 hp

    0-60 mph - 4.2 secs
    0-100 km/h - 4.37 secs
    0-200 km/h - 12.79 secs
    0-250 km/h - 20.6 secs

    100-200 km/h 8.43

    RS6 was faster in the region 200 - 250 km/h!
7.81 seconds for the RS6 MTM.
8.33 seconds for the Carrera GT.

I think these figures speak volumes about the potential of this engine, especially as I believe all of that extra 150hp was achieved with no changes to it's internals or turbos, simply a ECU flash and exhaust.

    INCREDIBLE.

You have to remember that these times aren't conducted on a race track or dragstrip with a perfect surface but a disused airstrip with piss poor concrete. Once the surface problems are out of the equation it's quicker than a Carrera GT.

And that's a bloody quick car.

The quarter mile, or 402 m, time on this run was 12.37 seconds @ 196 km/h.

    Carrera GT 12.78 seconds @ 203 km/h.

No know the exactly figures but gauging from the races between the RS6 MTM and the LP560 I reckon their respective 100-250km/h times are very close, it appears that only at around the 250km/h point and above does the Lamborghini pull clear air.

I wouldn't worry too much actually.

I have visited a lot of German tuners and they (the serious ones) all consider things like durability. Most of them take over the factory warranty, which means
that they are responsible for a year or two. And one fail will ruin a lot of things, very expensive for the tuner, so they have to play within the limits.

For instance Hohenester Sport (not so well known, but a tuner I regard as very proffessional) said they could put out something like 600-650 hp out of the old RS4 engine, with 100.000 kms no problem.
