    Plenty of luggage room

You won't stay alone for long

    The scenery

    Roadrunner... looks amazing

Considering taking the RS6 over from the UK to Germany for a week, doing the same as you.. sightseeing and fun drives, bit of walking, some geocaching etc etc ..

Wondered how you went about booking the hotels / picking the routes

Some one advised my that the "romantic road" was worth driving .. Wife would love to see the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang castle etc etc Any comments from folks ?

Gdavison - it was more than amazing

How we went about to plan it:

    1. googled for alpine passes
    2. put them on google maps to see where they are located
    3. planned daily routes
    4. planned stay over places
    5. looked for hotel recommendations (e.g. tripadvisos.com)
    6. boooked hotels online

When i put my report together, i can give you some more details - but if you have some more questions right away, feel free to aks.

One thing i would do differently in your position compared to our route - do less than we did. Your wife will thank you and the experience will be not smaller

Before i forget - i highly recommed that you do the trip with your beast

Wow, some (like all of them...) of those roads are just crazy.

I wouldn't like to be the passenger, but I'd love to drive!

Erik, we had a good "time sharing" concept: most of the passes - i was the uphill guy and my friend the down hill driver.

And it is not that bad as a co-driver - you just have to find something to hold on to

And you HAVE TO drive them one day - it is unforgetable (either with a RUF or an R(S) Audi)

would have been great if we would have met.

wow Staller Sattel with an R8 V10 - man that must be great.
but also all the other alpine passes you went over must have been ......... wonderfull.

    Hi Mr
Not sure of dates or duration yet, however would be happy to get your input
Any heads up guidance would be appreciated, so I can check it out before hand
As for a meet sounds like a good idea, perhaps we should consider extending this to a broader group, (states can't have all the fun)
A meet or a run now there's a germ of an idea

    Take care
    Trebor

If it was outside Traube, than it was us. Would have been really nice if we could have met. But as we are at least once a year near Wörgl, maybe we can arrange something next time (i will be with an Audi, but not with that beaty & beast)

Staller was just insane - for all that don't know it - the last "few" Kilometers are ONE WAY with traffic light regulation = NO oncomming traffic, just what is in front of you, if anything

@roadrunner - yes, outsind Hotel Traube :-) I was looking at the R8 quite a few minutes - well ... it's really a pity, that we hadn't met there ......... anyway.
would really be great, when we could arrange a meeting.

for trebor's trip - well when I can give you input - you can contact me anytime - for my mobile phone nr. or so just pm me - or when we could arrange a get together or sth. like that - count me in.
