    C5 RS6 - Aftermarket suspension?

I think my DRC might be failing*, does anyone 1) still own a C5 RS6, and 2) if so, is anyone running aftermarket suspension?

I most recently read an article about a tuner shop in the UK retrofitting the Bilstein PSS9s on their C5 RS6 (pesky DRC), and they seem to like it, but I am looking for real world consumer opinions.

    * Poor excuse to spend more money on useless car parts...

hello there, if you do a little bit of searching, you'll find that the DRC has been covered to ad nauseum and that Bilsteins are but one of three popular aftermarket choices. The other two being KW V3 and Stasis. I think that most people on the boards have opted for the KW, that's certainly the case for me as I have read about problems with Bilsteins and Stasis kits.

As DWD states, tons on the boards, but to add my personal experience, I opted out of DRC 16 mos ago and went the route of stasis ms. While i am very pleased with the performance, there is an annoying rattle/clunk on a rear shock which has been in existence since installation. Others have experienced the same, and stasis admits to the issue but thus far has no solution, although they contend that they are working on it. KW3's appear to get much positive feedback.

Didn't the PSS9s get a revision recently to improve them? If so, has anyone tried these new and improved pieces?

I laugh everytime you smit a new member with the "use the blankity blank search".

(Off topic) Perhaps a suggestion to a moderator would be to get involved and setup a sticky that has commonly searched/requested words like:
    DRC,
    suspension,
    rims,
    tires,
    ceramics,
    exhaust,
    turbos,
    PSS9,
    PS2,
    oil change,
    transmission (not tranny, bad word)
    brakes rotors pads,
    etc...

Thanks for the advice on the the search (which I did use, hence my belief that my DRC is failing), and the additional info on the other 2 options for suspension (I wasn't aware that KW and Stasis had kits for the C5 RS6).

Aside from LIRS6 (thanks for the personal input, which is what I was looking for), I was wondering if anyone else has had positive / negative experience with any of the 3 aftermarket suspension options discussed above? I'm particularly keen to know how the car handles better or worse from a comfort perspective at high speeds (110 kph / 68mph and above).

    Thanks again.

This is a great idea for two reasons: 1) it would be a great way to gather together a lot of good FAQ answers and make them easy to find and 2) it would reduce the number of Duck's admonishments!

Even though I am one of the aforementioned "dicks on AudiWorld," I will add, stay away from the STaSIS kit the clunking is horrible and as LIRS6 alluded to there is no fix from STaSIS and I suspect there never will be one.

LOL, didn't mean to open up a whole can of worms re: audiworld cuz clearly, I'm turning into one of those on these here boards.

I will say this, I rode around the parking lot of Maguire's in someone's RS6 with Stasis and his didn't exhibit the clunking noise but I've read about it far too much to want to swap a DRC for the Stasis. I have not heard anything bad about the KW.

Also, I just remembered grizz mentioning a few weeks ago about doing a lot of H&R installs. However, I don't believe that is available here in teh States, or at least I've never found it...

in germany you can get kw suspensions, bilstein or h&r...

here are some guys who decided for h&r:

the blue one is mine and my drc was destroyed...so I go to aftermarket products and I don`t have regrets about it !!!
