    It ws great, I did 21 laps on sunday. Car was perfect all day. Tires held up very good as well. Refueled 5 times that day! And a new best of 226km/h in fuchsrohre, and 9min time with one accident and some oils spills.

    @lu
    thanks man, a proper pro detailing really made a huge difference from how it used to look. Only thing is missing no is resprayed skirts and changing over to colour matched center caps

    Great video, you make it look so effortless! The car looks well set up do you have any tips for me as it will be the first time i have taking the RS2 to the Ring, the car is stock with small reds (all new) and new tyres.

    It would be great when there was also HQ sound.
    Now it's nice with let's say a lot of static noise.
    But i agree with you there is effort in it.

    My advice is to do a lot of laps on Gran Turismo 4 (PS2) if you have the possibility. It is a long track, and it takes a lot of laps to remember all the corners. GT4 is great for learning what corner comes where. I did hundreds of laps on gt4 before I drove there the first time, and it only took me a few laps or so to memorize the turns....learning the ideal line however.....who knows?....1000laps?

    I've done about 70-80 laps in real life now, and I still learn new better lines each time I drive. It is always usefull to drive the first laps slowly, feeling all the bumbs and cambers...

    saying that...horns easily grow in your forhed and it is easy to forget everything and floor it when you are overtaken by a good driver in a golf tdi.

    this is a great tool made by bmw

    the gear selections and speeds does not apply to the RS2, but there's a lot of useful information about the corners.

    driving the nordschleife is a bit like having sex with your aerobics instructor....she'll always be better than you, and never tire out

    other than that....keep the oil 1 or 2 mm above max, 10% more air in the tires, and do cooling laps through the village and past the petrol station after laps....give the engine, brakes and especially turbo chance to cool down gradually......and your brakes will smell after the first lap...burning of road dust, salt, etc (we salt the roads in the wintertime and it sticks to the discs)

    My advice never do the ring in a car that you don't know like your trousers pocket.
    Do the ring only in a car that you know blindly.

    Reviving an old thread. Was very lucky to have gotten behind the wheel of one of these very special cars over the weekend. There were around 10 or sold in Hong Kong back in the day and this is one of the original cars.

    This car really was the family man's 911. Utterly brilliant. Let's hope that Audi and Porsche re-unite to make the next RS4.

    Wonderful pictures, Thanks for posting them.
