I'm pretty sure it's not the final body... The grills look like they are temp. and the rear valance is cut funky by hand. My bet it's just a Mule in S-line clothing! Let's just hope it looks better than the TT-S

Yeah I agree. I think the front MIGHT be spot on though. Arches dont look wider or anything though. It reminds me of these old spypics:

Personally I think we could see more cues from the clubsport concept. Especially for the rear. I'd love it if that happened:

the big question is how Audi will make those 340 hp. The TT range is getting a bit crowded with 200-->250-->280(I think 300 is out of the question for the TT-S with the news of 340 hp TT-RS)-->340.

Very promising pics. As usual the final shape will be much better with wide wheels arches etc... no doubt about it

I agree on the engine unknown. Audi should brake the 300hp mark to have a top of range TT vs competition. If this is the plan then it will not be the 2.0l engine for shure.

So if this is an RS. Then the RS6 is due, this then shows the RS TT is next, so, as i have been saying we are at least 3 years away from seeing an RS5 ?????

Car magazines have realy no clue what so ever, they are realy clueless.
Audi TT-RS my *ss it is just a TT 2.0TFSI Quattro and brakes testmule.
This car have the new chain driven 2.0 litre engine (the 1.8TFSI 2.0 litre brother) under the bonnet and big brakes to test.
This engine can have a power output between 211 and 295 hp.
The red TT is not a RS either, but was just a TT 3.2 Quattro test mule for brakes.
They only put on thinks to test and misderect, nothing more.
Audi did brake tests on a 3.2 Quattro and now on a 2.0 Quattro.

True... maybe all these mules are simply for the 2.0 Quattro, which was promised a long time ago.

    Hans.

That is exactly what I was told.

The most interesting thing you told us Hans was the number plate thing, V6 in the reg. usually means it's a V6. I will watch the reg. plate more closely from now on.
Search and you will find the truth.

Why would a 2.0TFSI need those huge air intakes on the front?

You ask this question everytime spy photos of test cars pop up that are "supposedly S or RS models."
The final answer is that they are only prototypes so why would they have the full "expensive" production grill on a test car!

I think that the 2.0 Quattro model will kill V6 sales.

Yes, but Audi have change the time table for it because Audi want the TT 2.0TFSI Quattro have the new chain driven 2.0TFSI engine in it.
The present 2.0TFSI is a belt driven engine the new 2.0 litre is the same as the new 1.8TFSI engine.
