No 1 The ULTIMATE thread about the new Audi RS6 (C6)

We do a lot of fun things here. But this is RS6.com after all so I figured we needed the ultimate thread about the new RS6.

These are my best pictures from the World Premiere at IAA 2007 Frankfurt exhibition. Unfortunately the crowd around the white RS6 Avant made it a bit hard to photograph.
I will add more information as time goes by, and hope others can help of course.
Together we'll make this thread the best source of information.

If you're not a member here, or would like to be "unofficial", but still would like to contribute please send me an e-mail and I can post it for you.

For your information: RS6.com is an International website, commercial free, and owned by myself. Anyone who would like to make donations are always welcome, small as large. I just renewed the vBulletin forum software. Only $95 but total running costs are approx. $800 per year which I take out of my own pocket.
The account is: erikb @ ruf . se with http://www.paypal.com and I think it's pretty easy even without your own paypal account, all you need is a card.
Again, this is no obligation, and you're still welcome to surf around for free and learn more.

    Thanks in advance and enjoy!

Below: Fog lights missing, integrated as LEDs in the headlights. Why? Every square inch is needed for cooling.

    Below: Note the radar

Below: Stock brakes and 20" wheels with 275/35ZR20 rubber.

    Note the LEDs.

I have a heavy, but very good camera, EOS1Ds. Still it wouldn't pick up the wider arches very well.
Everything in red just get smudged.

    The V10TT is so beautyful!

    Audi Exclusive interior.

Below: Note the paddle shifter. The tiptronic will do down-shift revs and is much faster than the old one (30-40%)

    GPS Antenna

Below: Note the painted line on the door openers. This looks really good!

Option: The ceramic brakes. Say no more!

    Retrofittable ceramic brakes...

    RS6 Door sills

    Door opener, white/silver style.

RS6 insignia in the rear seats.

    Note the "diod"

Great thread, picture and writing as always Erik! I'd take the white one home anyday!

Alright, the red on would be just fine as well.

Edit, I will save the paypal account and try to give a gift as soon as possible!

    Erik ,

I still say a fully optional "donation" program be put in place. Sort of what was already discussed in the past. Ah well, you guys decide.

I'll send something to ya' next month.

Great photos, Erik! I like how the sonar is now placed in the bottom-middle of the grille. Can't wait to see when Audi makes a sedan version; nevertheless, I hope the U.S. gets it.

My dealer reports that the sedan will reach US shores by next winter. That it is a go. Let us hope the news are spot on.

Why the long period from IAA to first preview and tests from journalists? It was a final release they presented at IAA and not a prototype I assume?

Anyone knows anything new regarding the RS6?
